DIGITALIA project aims to strengthen the digital transformation and disaster resilience of the cultural heritage sector. Across Europe, cultural heritage institutions face growing needs related to digital skills, technological adaptation, and effective preparedness for natural hazards.
DIGITALIA brings together universities and public cultural institutions from Türkiye, Italy, and Spain to address these challenges through a collaborative and cross-sectoral approach. The project focuses on analysing current skill gaps, understanding digital readiness, and examining existing disaster risk management practices within the cultural heritage field.
Based on these findings, DIGITALIA will develop new learning materials, guidance frameworks, and capacity-building actions that support professionals, students, and organisations in adapting to the evolving demands of the sector.
By promoting cooperation, knowledge sharing, and innovative learning opportunities, DIGITALIA contributes to improving the preservation, accessibility, and sustainable management of cultural heritage. The project supports the European Union's efforts to empower cultural heritage institutions, enhance professional competencies, and build a more resilient and digitally capable heritage ecosystem for the future.
