National seminar in Rome (11 June 2026), organised by SABAP and Ca' Foscari University of Venice, within the DIGITALIA Erasmus+ project.
On 11 June 2026, the Italian National Seminar of the DIGITALIA – Digital Solutions for Sustainable and Disaster Resilient Heritage Management project was successfully organised in Rome by the Italian project partners; Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio for the Provinces of Ascoli Piceno, Fermo and Macerata (SABAP) and Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
The seminar brought together cultural heritage professionals, researchers, public authorities and institutional stakeholders to present the objectives, activities and achievements of the DIGITALIA project.
Throughout the seminar, participants explored the importance of strengthening disaster resilience in cultural heritage through European cooperation, capacity building and the exchange of knowledge and good practices. Particular attention was given to the role of digital technologies in supporting documentation, monitoring, risk management and the long-term protection of cultural heritage, while highlighting that technological innovation must always be accompanied by well-trained professionals and strong institutional collaboration.
The event also provided an opportunity to present the progress achieved by the DIGITALIA consortium and to discuss future perspectives for more sustainable and resilient heritage management across Europe.
