About COMPLUTENSE UNIVERSITY

The Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) is a public university with a strong presence both in Spain and internationally. Founded in the late 13th century, UCM's mission focuses on educating professionals, fostering scientific research, and promoting knowledge and social responsibility.

During the 2022-2023 academic year, the UCM had over 61,000 students, more than 7,200 international students and a teaching staff of over 6,700. GREPAC Research Group

The GREPAC research group at UCM focuses on risk management in cultural heritage. Group director: Pilar Montero Vilar, Professor in the Department of Painting and Conservation-Restoration at the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Cultural Heritage Emergency Observatory (OEPAC)

The Observatory for Emergencies in Cultural Heritage (OEPAC) is dedicated to emergency risk management at cultural institutions.
